Madison Warming Shelter Open Mic & Jazz!

By Meg Rothstein and Heymiss Progress

You are cordially invited to enjoy a New Year’s Day open mic for all in the greater Madison area. Come for the music– Sally de Broux, Laurie Lang and John Becker provide jazz for the first half. Then stay for the open mic! Hosted by Heymiss Progress of Word is Bond Poetry Slam!

***Share your writing and/or acoustic music with us. Everyone’s welcome to participate or just listen.***

The open mic/jazz hour is hosted by the creative writing group from Madison’s daytime warming center through generous support by MadisonSOUP, Heymiss Progress, Word is Bond Poetry Slam, Sally de Broux, Laurie Lang and John Becker. The group planned the event, several members will be participating along with voices from the wider community and we hope you’ll join us.

Our event will be MC’d by Heymiss Progress of Word is Bond poetry slam!

Jazz generously provided by vocalist Sally de Broux, bass by Laurie Lang and John Becker on keyboard!

Support for our writers group and community reading is brought to you via MadisonSOUP. Thank you for the support! Learn more about MadisonSOUP’s micro-granting endeavors:
